DEVON HALFNIGHT LEFLUFY

F/W 2016

Devon Halfnight Leflufy is an incredibly gifted, Antwerp-based clothing designer who is well known for his very youthful and innovative creations. Leflufy began creating his line in 2013, and the fashion world was abuzz when his MFA collection from the very prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts was scooped up by uber-hip Opening Ceremony. His collection for Fall/Winter 2016 was distinctively gender-fluid/unisex, shown during men’s fashion week. And it screamed everything about youth! In fact, “Eternal Youth” was not only printed on the collar of a leather jacket, but also on shoes and baseball caps. Standout pieces were characterized by recycled patchwork. There was an incredible mesh top and skirt that were constructed from iPhone cords. Our favorite piece, a beautifully constructed bright yellow overcoat belted with iPhone cords, was worn by male model Charlie James. Also noteworthy were the quirky leather bags. Eternal Youth indeed. Photography Alexander Thompson. http://dhalfnight.com
