CARLOS CAMPOS

F/W 2017

Honduras-born menswear designer Carlos Campos gave us an intriguing mix of colorful menswear pieces in summer tones for his Fall/Winter 2017 menswear collection, including pink and baby blue. But why not go against the flow and do things differently? He opened his collection with a terrific two-piece color-block set on male model of the moment Diego Villarreal. Ponyboy favorites included the elongated varsity jackets, a striped shirt and trouser set, cropped trousers, and the mustard jumpsuit that tied at the waist. Perhaps the strongest look in our eyes was the interestingly cut grey overcoat worn over a black & mustard print shirt and trouser set. The designer showed a few women’s looks this season on the runway, all with a masculine feel. Campos’ trademark Latin American flair makes him a standout on the NYFW men’s runways.
