ARE YOU IN SCHOOL? Yes, I go to Hunter College for political science and I’m planning to study law in two years.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELING? It’s a funny story. I was taking lunch outside my office at FiDi, which I always take indoors but that day was the only exception. One of the Muse scouts approached me and asked if I modeled, to which I answered “No”. I started going back to the office but he just put his business card into my hands. I looked up the name, “Muse Model” on the card, got surprised to say the least—and now I’m here.
FIRST MODELING JOB? An e-commerce shoot with La Garconne a month or two ago.
FAVORITE PART OF BEING A MODEL? I think working for perfection is the fun part. There is not much you can tweak in your walk/posing but the minuscule changes seem to go a long way.
WORSE PART OF BEING A MODEL? The fact that you cannot read the minds of photographers or casting directors.
HAVE YOU WALKED RUNWAY OR DO YOU ASPIRE TO WALK RUNWAY? This will be my first fashion week and I’m hoping an opportunity will come up to walk runway.
FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHER? Robbie Lawrence (@robbiel1). I love Sarah van Rij’s (sarahvanrij) work too.
FAVORITE MODEL? I’m not the best at model names yet.
FAVORITE DESIGNER/LABEL? Sacai.
DREAM CAMPAIGN? Gosha Rubchinskiy, if he ever comes back to work.
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE/LOOK? Right now dressing like every other European – gazelles, jeans and Uniqlo shirts.
FAVORITE MUSICIAN/BAND? Trio Mocoto and Gang Star at the moment.
FAVORITE SONG OF THE MOMENT? “Instalação do Samba” by Toco 7.
INTERESTS BESIDES MODELING? Working in law – I work for a commercial litigation lawyer right now. Learning languages – doing Spanish, Portuguese and German right now. Running – preparing for a marathon next year.
SINGLE? Yes.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU? A lot of school and work this semester. Looking forward to cool modeling jobs too.
