ROCHAMBEAU

S/S 2016

For Spring/Summer 2016, Rochambeau menswear designers Laurence Chandler and Joshua Cooper took a step forward with their menswear line. The design duo left the street/urban element that always seemed predominant in past collections in favor of a more sleek and elegant look. Everything seemed very lightweight and clean. The designers gave us an abundance of layers in soft pink and blue, and white and tan. The line was filled with shiny fabrics, deconstructed knitwear, oversized tops, parkas, bombers and joggers. There was a terrific slick jumpsuit that closed the show, and we were amused by the oversized blue sweater with a large woven “R” paired with brilliant blue leather shorts. Silver metallic bags added a nice touch to the collection, as well as the glossy, parted hairstyles that are usually worn by bankers on Wall Street. This really is modern, contemporary menswear at its best, and always a Ponyboy favorite. Photography by Alexander Thompson.
