DUCKIE BROWN

S/S 2016

Duckie Brown designers Daniel Silver and Steven Cox brought unique, exaggerated menswear to their collection for Spring/Summer 2016. Oversized is the keyword in reference to the men’s high-waisted trousers, which were a size 48, tied with a ribbon on thin male model’s waists. Men’s tops consisted of loose, sheer organza fabrics. Suit jackets were made of draped voluminous fabrics. Our favorite look was a bright, attention-grabbing yellow suit worn on model Tom Gaskin. A Duckie Brown collection is never boring. This is what we want to see on the runway during men’s fashion week, not basic jeans and t-shirts. Is this for the average American male? Perhaps not. But the design duo take chances and never seem to follow trends. And this we very much applaud. Photography by Alexander Thompson.
