JOHN VARVATOS

F/W 2017

Menswear designer John Varvatos gave us what he termed “a refined rebellion” in the collection he showed for Fall/Winter 2017 at the Royalton’s Diamond Horseshoe Theater in New York City. This signature rock ‘n’ roll style collection was particularly luxe, sleek, stylish and modern–what every young man with that rock edge would want to wear when running around for a fun-filled night in the big city. There were beautifully tailored overcoats and velvet tuxedo jackets, as well as super slim-cut suits, all in rich dark colors. And it wouldn’t be a Varvatos collection without motorcycle jackets and pants in amazing leathers and skins. The fingerless gloves and scarves were added touches for that rockstar look. Both leopard prints featured in jackets, coats and shoes were simply stunning. Genius was the long leopard print coat modeled by rapper Machine Gun Kelly, a perfect closure to his show, giving off that bad-boy Sid Vicious/Billy Idol feel.
