With summer’s end fast approaching, we thought we’d throw together a men’s editorial with one of our favorite men’s staples, the classic vintage rayon Hawaiian shirt. While we’ve long collected these vintage gems, we thought it best to turn to our dear friends over at Dated Vintage – a favorite vintage showroom of ours that’s based in New York City. Co-owner Antonio Abrego, who’s styled other Ponyboy shoots for us in the past, pulled some of his favorite, collectible shirts for us to feature. We thought the perfect model for this shoot would be newcomer Jake Filling, from New York Model Management, with his summer golden locks (think Ponyboy!). So we trekked out to the trendy Rockaways on a hot summer day, the closest thing to Miami Beach for us New York City dwellers. Photography Alexander Thompson.
