PONYBOY MAGAZINE is a New York City vintage inspired underground fashion & music website founded in 2014, featuring men’s and women’s fashion editorials, backstage fashion, musicians, people, photography and style. Founded by editorial photographer Alexander Thompson and fashion creative Maria Ayala, this project was developed as a result of a love of underground-inspired music and vintage clothing from past decades, ranging from the 1930s through the 1990s.

Ponyboy Magazine gets its name from lead character Ponyboy Curtis, in the coming-of-age book, THE OUTSIDERS, penned by 15 year old “S.E. Hinton.” The novel was published in 1967 by Viking Press and later adapted into a theatrical release in 1983, directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
